Albina Lagrimas

Albina Maria Lagrimas, 81, of Mountain View, died Aug. 12, 2017 in Hilo. Born Jan. 24, 1936, in Paia, Maui, she was a retired Sprint telephone operator.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. on Aug. 21 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. The family requests casual attire be worn. Friends may also call at 10 a.m. on Aug. 22 at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section) for a graveside service.

She is survived by daughters, Debra Moses, Brenda (Robert) Tomlinson and Regina (Arthur) Adachi, all of Hilo; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Clarion Bidal

Clarion “Clarence” “Larry” Bidal, 82, of Pahoa, died Aug. 1, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Opihikao, he was a retired captain from the Hilo Airport Crash, Fire and Rescue, veteran of U.S. Marine Corps and Hawaii Army National Guard and member of Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pepeekeo Sportsman Club, Disabled American Veterans, and Pahoa Higashi Machi Kumiai.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. on Aug. 23 at Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church for a 5 p.m. service. All-night vigil follows at the family residence in Pahoa. Friends may again call at 9 a.m. on Aug. 24 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10:30 a.m. service. Burial follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No.2. The family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by son, Conrad (Ilanit) Bidal, of Pahoa; daughter, Pearla (Ray) Peralta, of Kalihi, Oahu; brother, Leonardo (Francine) Bidal, of Kaneohe, Oahu; sisters, Trinidad Jakosalem, of Kalihi, Oahu, Felisa Hanohano, of Pahoa; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mario Cuello

Mario Cuello, 71, of Mountain View, died Aug. 12, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Cavite, Philippines, he was the owner of Mario’s Taxi &Tours and a member of Saint Theresa Catholic Church.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. Aug. 24 at Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Mountain View for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Homelani Memorial Park Ilima Section. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Paula; children, Lulu, Pauline, Ligaya (Henry); grandchildren; and sisters in the Philippines.

Solita Pilanca

Solita Pilanca, 77, of Naalehu, died July 30, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center. Born March 20, 1940, in Honokaa, she was a housewife, and member of the Naalehu Senior Citizens Group and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

An all night vigil will start at 6 p.m. on Aug. 25 at the family’s residence at 95-5584 Lokelani St. in Naalehu. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. on Aug. 26 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Naalehu for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial to follow at the Naalehu County Cemetery. The family requests causal attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

She is survived by daughters, Elaine Pilanca, Mary Pilanca, and Teri Victor, all of Kailua-Kona, Zelda Pilanca, of Naalehu, Debra (Danny) Arase, of Kanaliu, and Kathy Pilanca of Seattle; son, Jeffrey (Miulene) Pilanca, of Honolulu; sister, Loretta (Phillip) Barro, of Waiohinu; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
